Jason was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in September 2014. He has held a variety of senior finance roles with major multi-national organisations and over the past 15 years, has had the opportunity to enjoy living and working in London, Paris and Sydney. Jason is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of local and international business experience covering a wide range of industries. Jason’s responsibilities at EnviroWaste include overseeing the Company’s finance, banking, information technology, audit, legal and procurement.

Russell has over 23 years of experience in the waste industry and oversees EnviroWaste’s commercial, residential and municipal waste collection operations, ensuring the timely collection of a large portion of the country’s waste and recyclables each and every week. Russell joined EnviroWaste in 2007 and has held a variety of management roles within the Company during that time. In addition to his role at EnviroWaste, Russell also sits on the Board of the Company’s joint venture Midwest Disposals Limited. Prior to joining the waste industry, Russell enjoyed a star turn playing for the Bradford Bulls Rugby League team in the United Kingdom during the 1990’s.

Carl has over 20 years waste industry experience. Carl joined EnviroWaste in 2008 and has since held responsibility for EnviroWaste’s landfills, various council landfill management contracts, the Company’s transfer station network and bulk haulage. Prior to joining EnviroWaste, Carl enjoyed a number of senior roles with Waste Management NZ including National Operations Manager, Living Earth Limited and also managed a number of remediation and special projects. Carl’s field of expertise includes project management, landfill design and build, landfill gas, compost operations, transport and transfer station design and operation.  In addition to his role at EnviroWaste, Carl also sits on the Board of the Company’s joint venture Midwest Disposals Limited. 

Chris has over 20 years of experience in the Waste industry in business development, project and contract management and senior management roles. Chris joined EnviroWaste in 2007 and prior to this worked at Waste Management NZ and Pacific Waste Management in Australia from 1993 onwards. Chris is currently the General Manager of Compliance and Risk for EnviroWaste. In this role Chris is responsible for the Company’s health, safety, environmental and risk management programmes. In addition to this, Chris also sits on the Board of the Company’s joint ventures, Northern Waste Handling Limited and Pikes Point Transfer Station Limited. 

Wayne has over 20 years of experience in the waste industry and joined EnviroWaste in 2007. Wayne’s passion is the environment and his role with EnviroWaste includes the development of remedial strategy and methodology for contaminated site projects. One of the major projects that Wayne oversaw, was the clean-up and recovery of the MV Rena which ran aground on the Astrolabe reef in Tauranga in 2011, including designing, building and managing the volunteer personnel decontamination units at the beaches. Wayne is also responsible for storm water pond maintenance projects and wastewater and groundwater treatment plant design build and operations. In addition to his role at EnviroWaste, Wayne is a Board member of WasteMINZ, the largest representative body of the waste and resource recovery sector in New Zealand. 

Dave joined EnviroWaste in 2013 and has over 25 years’ experience in the Waste Industry. Prior to joining the Company, Dave worked as an industry consultant in New Zealand and Australia and has held senior roles at Waste Management Pacific Limited and Waste Management NZ Limited from the early 1990’s as well as being owner/operator of waste industry businesses both here and in Australia. Dave is responsible for managing and supporting the Company’s major customers and he and his team are passionate advocates of waste minimisation, diversion and recycling and seeking innovate solutions to meet their customer’s requirements.
