Proud member of the New Zealand Green Building Council

EnviroNZ is proud to be a member of the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC).

NZGBC is a not-for-profit, industry organisation with the vision that New Zealanders live, work and play in healthy, efficient and productive buildings in a sustainable built environment.

What is a ‘green’ building?

A green building is one that is designed, built and operated in ways that reduce or remove any negative impact on the environment and the people using it.

Green buildings make more efficient use of resources such as energy and water, and provide healthier environments for people to live and work in. Green building practices can also reduce construction and operation costs.

HomeFit online check

The NZGBC also developed HomeFit, a no-nonsense, straightforward way to check if a home is warm, safe and dry.

There's a simple online check, designed especially for Kiwis looking at homes to buy or rent. By answering some easy questions with a few clicks on your screen, as you stroll around, say, an open home, you can see immediately if it's a warm, dry, healthy place to live - and what you can do to fix it if it isn't. www.homefit.org.nz
