In March, EnviroWaste had the privilege of once again being part of the Race4Life event, which is now in its twelfth year. Race4Life is a Charitable Trust that fulfils the wishes of palliative care patients. Every year they hold a one day event at the Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, where around 80 palliative care patients and their carers or families, get to experience a day they will never forget.
This year, EnviroWaste had three trucks and drivers at the event, who took patients and their carers for rides and some of them even got to visit our landfill just up the road. Patients also had the chance to ride in prestigious and classic cars, zip around in race cars and on motorbikes and to top it all off, they were also given the opportunity to ride in a helicopter over the area.
All patients, regardless of their condition, were given a great day out and with plenty of people available to assist, they were able to take rides in or on any of the vehicles there on the day. It was a great day had by all and the patients and volunteers loved every bit of it.
EnviroWaste has had the privilege of sponsoring this event since 2012 and we look forward to it every year. A big thank you to all our staff involved, who helped to make the day a huge success!
